6 June , 2012Photos unrelated to any topic whatsoever as always. 😉 These photos were taken a while ago at a baby shower we attended. Nicola made a little friend while we were there – these two were either trying to outsmart the pool net or running around like it was a race the whole afternoon. It was very cute to see. Nicola was calling the other girl “My Issabella!” and was very sad when we had to go and we couldn’t take her with us.
So I have the plague flu. My throat is so sore I don’t even feel like typing (if that makes sense to you?).
I have lovely photos from my dad’s birthday on Sunday that I want to put up here, but at the moment unless I absolutely have to be upright I’m sleeping.
I took a duvet day yesterday because I didn’t have any meetings scheduled and I felt like death warmed over, but unfortunately today I am sort of back in the sadle, coughing up a lung with a box of tissues under the arm shuffling down the passages glaring at people through my blood shot eyes. Charming…
Last night my head felt like it was going to explode so Nicola gave me a little kiss on my forehead…she also offered to help me in other ways, “Moet ek vir jou ‘n salfie opsit Mamma, mmm? Of wat van ‘n groot pleister?” Too sweet. If I thought it would help I would have taken her up on that offer for sure. 😀
Anyhoo, please be patient. I have many many many things I still want to comment on in my reader. I’ll get there eventually, promise.

adesolaf, oh the little madam and I infect each other all winter long. She gets it, passes it to me, gets better, I get sick, pass it back, get better. Rinse and repeat till about mid August.
Marcia, I keep the sick days for when I think I’m so sick it might be my last day…or when Nicola is too sick to go to school. I have 13 left till September next year so I’ve got to pace myself. I remember 2010 when I burned through all of them AND my annual leave for winter. So far so good…
Am also feeling a bit under the weather. Hope you are feeling better? I should have taken a sick day or 3 this week – but there’s just sooo much drama at work. It would have just made things worse. And I do prefer to keep them for when I am practically on deaths door.
