We live to fight another battle

10 September , 2019

To say that things have been interesting in the last two weeks would be a vast understatement.

Experiencing the full glory of a Section 189 Retrenchment process seems to have disengaged my filters, and I’m having quite a bit of fun with that (within reason).

You’d think that I would spend my last month kicking back and submitting CVs like someone possessed (I am doing that but usually at 4:00 in the morning), but I’m actually working like a dog to get my project across the finish line before I leave. I don’t want to leave the client hanging, firstly, and secondly it keeps me busy and out of office which is an altogether great thing with my sudden lack of filters.

My contacts at this particular client have been really great for my morale, seriously, like an emotional back rub. They think I’m the bees knees and blow smoke up my bottom continuously. It is delightful to come across people who thinks you can walk on water, especially whilst going through a retrenchment!

I am grateful, not everyone gets to have an upside like I do.

Say something...come on! You know you want to?
