Seen arounds

2 March , 2014

It’s been a while since I’ve had one of these posts up. Brace yourself – there are quite a few photos in this one! 😉

Flying ants getting cosy with a streetlight.

My frangipani.

This crystal tree is the result of one of Nicola’s birthday presents. She loves it, but the chemicals involved and the amount of safety gear needed to do these experiments gave me the heeby-geebies. So after this initial one that we did together, I’ve had to “disappear” the rest of it for the time being.

Notice up at Nicola’s school.

These are the fourth set of trees being planted outside the court since last year May. You kknow…if they just asked someone to water them now and then, they could have saved a fortune for sure!

Vanity plate on a very pink car.

E-tag traitors can now avoid the scrutiny of walking into one of THOSE stores. You can now sell out at your local Checkers in the normal till.

Hahaha, too funny. Not sure of you can make this out nicely from my photo, but there is one lady and about 6 or 7 cats on this my family sticker.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

JHB peak hour traffic does resemble the valley of the shadow of death some days – totally get this.

Fluffy clouds – aren’t they gorgeous? 😀

If you know me on fb, then you’ve seen this already. Nicola closer inspecting some artwork outside a coffee shop in PTA. We were there for a bachelorette party a few weeks ago.

Things that I do not buy at fruit and veg shops – but they are pretty, aren’t they. (hahaha, pretty lethal!)

This is all the same sunset, a couple of minutes apart. Love it!

My dad sent me this a while ago. He said it reminded him of Nicola and myself. Isn’t that sweet? 🙂

  1. your dad is very sweet!

PS I’m an etag traitor 🙂 Are we still friends? (I should write about this – people are very polarised)

    • Of course we are still friends! 😉 I just can’t be sympathetic if your bill is a mess. On Mar 3, 2014 11:59 AM, “123 Blog Myself” wrote:

  2. Your dad is so right! I love it.

I got the e-tag or rather hubby did! I’m indifferent!

Those vanity plates make me laugh. There was a day I saw about 4 “007” numbers

I loooove chili! I actually use habanero which is way hotter than those pictured here for cooking. I need the heat to enjoy my meal.

    • I know these are not the very hot ones, but that red was so brilliant I just had to take a photo – you know me. 😉

  3. Love the sugar packet and the sunset… beautiful… now how about a poem or two… ??

    • Haha, soon…I almost wrote one yesterday about my car, but there was just too much panic and running around to sit down for 5 minutes and pen something down.

  4. So cool. Love this post with the photos

    • Thank you! 😀

  5. Your sunset pics are gorgeous! I am afraid of chilies. My DH on the other hand LOVES LOVES LOVES them. Marcia is right. Your Daddy is sooooo sweet!

    • My dad is the best! He always surprises you with these kinds of things when you least expect it.

  6. I think your dad saw Nicola’s name tag lying somewhere and just returned it.

    • Hahaha,that could be it. 😉

  7. I had a lavalamp… It was purple liquid with bright yellow wax. I loved watching it when it got going.

    • This one is a big hit too. We don’t have a good spot for it yet, but once we move at the end of the month I think it’s going to come in really handy.

  8. Oh I really want a lava lamp- and my daughter too!

Love the random items and the vanity plates. Saw SPIERE GP the other day

    • You can get them at Game for R100 – R200 in all sorts of colours. -) On Mar 5, 2014 4:03 PM, “123 Blog Myself” wrote:
