Trees and pizza

4 December , 2012

The family needed some decoration too according to Nicola. Blink serpies as she calls them (shiny scarves).

Ouma and Oupa’s tree.

This tree is no good for sitting under.

We also had a chace to clown about outside a bit with the hat. The way this works is that I (mom) get to sing carols while Nicola dances and runs around trying to dodge the camera.

And here is our own tree. It had some blue stars on too but Nicola decided that they would look better stashed randomly throughout the house (some even in the bed). 😉

Waiting for our pizza. This poor palm tree was spotted and reminded Nicola of Jungle Book for some reason. This here is her scratching her back against it. 😆

Dinner is served! 🙂 What a lucky mamma I am…

  1. great job on the trees! did she help?

PS four extra hands made ours go about 4 times as long!

    • Thanks! I think they look pretty good. And yes, she helped a lot! She really loves Christmas. 🙂

  2. I love it that Nicola wanted everyone to have blink serpies. So cute and so innocent. She makes me laugh.

    • Her excitement is truly contagious! 🙂

  3. Ha Ha Ha Ha on the scarves for everyone. It’s all part of the Christmas spirit…

The look of pure bliss and excitement on her face is so evident 🙂

    • PS: I love the new header. A reflection of the season 😉

      • Thank you! I do a seasonal one…this one is my summer one for 2011. 🙂

  4. Ag die blink serpies laat my wyd smile

    • Dis oulik ne’? 😀 Ek dink dis die beste Afrikaanse weergawe van Tinsel wat ek nog ooit gehoor het.

  5. Blink serpies. That is too cute! Love those twirly pics. So much of carefree. We should all do some twirling once in a while…

    • Easiest way to stay young I think. 😉

  6. Aw she looks so sweet prancing around in her hat!

    • 🙂

Say something...come on! You know you want to?
