A rolling stone gathers no moss…

But every time I move I end up having to get more shit?! How does that work then?

*sigh*

Alexander the great tells me that the agent was at our house again tonight with the same buyer twice…a sale is imminent. That means that in the very near future (think here in terms of a month, maybe two) I will once again have to move. “Fan-f-ing-tastic”.

In times of stress I find comfort in compiling a list:

Negative:

• I don’t have boxes (again) – maybe I should speak to Antie Koekie to get some of her famous apple boxes once she’s finished moving?
• I don’t actually know where I will move to, or when at this stage
• I can already tell that this is going to cost me money that I do not actually have
• I will go and FICA myself again at the blasted bank, Unisa, and the Receiver of Revenue (everyone else still has my JHB post address which my baby brother kindly checks for me once a month or so)
• I will have to get the stupid Telkom line canceled

Positive:

• I might end up living closer to work and so doing pay less on petrol every week
• This house is clearly UNSAFE since it’s located almost right next to little Nigeria (Parklands) and a well known hot-spot for drug related crimes at the moment
• My bonsai trees are not happy here, no matter where in the garden I put them
• No house-mates could possibly cut out on some of the surrounding drama that they inevitably bring (along with the very good stuff too, which is a bit of a downer)

Things to consider:

• I will probably end up living well and truly on my own for the first time (ever) – the next step on this CT adventure?
• If I do, I will buy yet more household goodies in the form of a fridge/freezer (for my first move I bought a couch, and my second one a washing machine, throw in a toaster and a iron and I have practically a household fully kitted).
• I’ve asked Alexander to pin the agent down to giving us at least a month notice, to cancel phone lines and what have you – and now I guess we’ll just have to wait and see when, what, where, who and probably most importantly how…
• It does not help to panic, so I won’t

I am going to have to do deals like someone possessed – that’s all I can tell you. But, I am not afraid (yet), since I am a lemonade kind of person I already know that there will be some sort of good coming out of this, one way or another. I need to keep my wits about me, and just take it one day at a time.

That’s all there is to it…right?
